Devin Wilde is from Brooklyn, NY, where he currently works and lives. Referencing his background in architecture, Devin draws inspiration from an electric array of styles; namely Art Deco, Classicism and its myriad of revival periods, and Post Modernism. As he explains, “I explore forms that simultaneously convey both ancient and distinctly modern sensibilities. The relationship between shape and shadow is key to my work. The geometric languages I develop are a careful marriage of form and function; they give structure to the forms, yes, but are primarily mechanisms for creating drama with light.”
