New Format Quarry Bookends

New Format Studio
$1,400.00 USD
$1,400.00 USD

Sand cast in sedimentary layers from aluminum scrap metal, these bookends evoke the eroded walls of an ancient quarry. The roughness of the raw aluminum is drawn from the casting process – unearthing these organic forms and assembling them was guided by the shapes and textures that resulted from these elemental interactions. The thin ribbons of brass striating the layers are the only echo of New Format’s signature refinement – a nod to the studio’s blend of craftsmanship and material expression. Designed by Henry Norris and Birger Huber for New Format. Sold as a pair.

Measurements: approximately 6"-6.5" height, 3-4.5" wide, 7.5" depth.

Weight: approximately 8.5 pounds each.

Materials: Aluminum, brass.
